Initial Psychiatric Consultation and Evaluation
Thank you for your interest in joining our practice. The first visit is a consultation appointment to get to know each other and see what issues or symptoms you are currently experiencing and if we are able to treat these issues for you. We generally do not prescribe medications at the first visit unless clinically indicated. Sometimes it takes 2-3 appointments to develop a treatment plan and start medication. If you are in a crisis and need medication or psychiatric intervention immediately, please call 911, contact your previous provider, or contact a crisis center.
